Blind faith is a band formed in the 60s that has had a great success back in the days. The members of the band were Eric Clapton at the guitar and vocals, Steve Winwood at the organ, bass, guitar, piano, keyboards, vocals, Ginger Baker at  percussion, drums and Ric Grech at bass, violin, vocals. There was great excitement about this band and their only album ‘blind faith” that even from the beginning topped Billboard`s pop album chart.

Blind Faith were a one album band, that earned it`s spot in history by the fact that it was made out of great singers, mostly  former band members for example Steve Winwood from Traffic, Eric Clapton and Ginger from Cream, Greanch , Family . The band was thought to be the sequel of Cream also a very known band that time that didn`t last long. The new band wanted to change the music in those times but they failed. If someone had thought better from the beginning, the band had no chance for success because of their leader Clapton that changed a lot of bands during the years , but the press made them a super group. Their only album „Blind faith „ was good, but the band split before they even got to the second album. Eric Clapton has always had the feeling that the bad fortune from Cream was still chasing him, that`s why this band also didn`t make it.

They were called a super group because of the backgrounds of the band members, but the first band that was named a supergroup was Cream. So in fact, Blind faith was the second band named this way. Their album had success and all their songs were appreciated. They were a band of experts and their songs were professionally made. The first song Had to cry today is probably the closest thing to Cream jam and has 8 minutes. Also another song is 'Can't Find My Way Home' a ballad sung in a very gentle tone, that doesn`t have Cream or Traffic influences it`s just a great song. Their only album sold in many copies, but the band`s success was coming to an end. In 2001 a deluxe edition appeared with some unreleased track. The album contained three new songs :Acoustic Jam, Time Winds and Sleeping In The Ground (Slow Blues Version). Blind faith ,

Had to cry today is probably their most known song most surely because it was a resembling with some of the Cream`s plays. People were very enthusiastic at hearing any song of Claptons and Winwood. Today Eric Clapton has a spot in the history of music, he remains a living legend. He is one of the greatest guitarists of all time. As the years passed he collaborated with the most famous people is music, from Pink Floyd to Sherryl Crow who he also had  a relationship with. Blind faith was a period in his life where he tried to have success but the tragedy of Cream still haunted him.
